Rituels inutiles

Rituels Inutiles (Useless Rituals) is a videopoem in collaboration with the writer and poet Virginie Savard (CA). It is an allegory of the immensity of life's simple events and their insignificance, and how all the anecdotes we experience are intertwined in ways beyond our control. Using geonodes, 3D animation and sound synthesis, the abstract universe that accompanies the poem highlights the virtual aspects of our lives as well as its interconnectedness, reminiscent of beads, neurons and unusual patterns. Rituels Inutiles was a chosen finalist for the videopoem competition of the Festival de poésie de Montréal in 2023.
